Youth Tutoring K –12th grade
Monday—Thursday 3:00 to 7:00 PM

Juniper Level Missionary Baptist Church (JLMBC) and their Rosenwald School offers in-person and virtual tutoring, counseling through Alliance Health, ESL programs, and transportation services.


YM4C
Tuesdays, Jan—June 5:30 to 7:00 PM

Interactive, character-based impact sessions that promote a growth mindset, social awareness, and compassion toward others.


4-H of Wake County & Community Garden Club
Wednesdays, Jan—June 5:30 to 7:00 PM

4-H offers a wide range of activities for students from incubator projects that explore the science of embryology to projects around animals, gardens, and leadership. Program participants will have the opportunity to join our very own 4-H Community Garden Club.  Students will learn about growing and maintaining a community garden including composting, seeding, growing process, and seasonal rotation for optimal production. Activities may include a variety of hands-on opportunities to showcase knowledge-base and skill sets around gardening, nutrition, and culinary delights.


RCNC’s Straight Talk Alternating

Youth Peer Support (13—18 years of age) group helps empower youth with coping skills for education, self-advocacy, independent living, and navigating challenges like peer pressure and other tough topics in their world.


I Got Talent
Alternating Thursdays 6:00 to 7:00 PM

I Got Talent is an entertaining program for all ages (adults and youth) that explores how art can be used as a form of communication to express thoughts and feelings as well as a medium for social change. Participants explore various creative outlets and can participate in the Spring talent show benefitting the community. I Got Talent helps everyone’s light shine a little brighter building confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of community empowerment. Patricia Mial-Mosely with Single Women With Children, Inc., leads our amazing talent pool!

Wednesdays, Coming in January 5:30 to 7:00 PM

Wake County Dental Clinic’s Community Outreach team for Smiles at Sunnybrook will visit JLBC Community
Alliance this Spring to offer our youth participants free dental screenings and oral education opportunities for the families. Smiles at Sunnybrook is a dental clinic offering FREE teeth cleanings to Wake County children ages 0-20 years old who do not have insurance. Patients can take advantage of this service Mondays – Fridays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM by appointment only. Just call 919-250-4615 to make your appointment today!

 

Kids Voting USA
Weekday Coming in January 5:30 to 7:00 PM

Kids Voting USA, together with JLBC Community Alliance and the Wake County Cooperative Extension, invites the community to join in the fun of a nonpartisan, grassroots-driven voter education program committed to creating lifelong voting habits in children, increasing family communication about citizenship, and encouraging greater adult voter turnout.
