Mission
Our Mission:
In 2005, a dedicated consortium of Juniper Level Missionary Baptist Church congregants and community members came together and committed to establishing a unified resource for its community’s most vulnerable youth and families.
Together, they established the Juniper Level Baptist Church (JLBC)
Community Alliance, an independent 501 (c)(3) non-profit, charged with carrying out this mission. Central to the overarching strategic plan was the restoration of the Panther Branch Rosenwald School. It would serve as the primary facility through which outreach and supportive services would be provided.
The restoration was a long journey for the community, but the monumental task embarked upon by its champions was completed in 2021 and the milestone was celebrated by its inclusion in the National Registry of Historic Places. Today, the mission of the JLBC Community Alliance’s founding members has been realized. The Panther Branch Rosenwald School is operating as a community center and resource hub where partnerships with agencies and non-profit organizations help address the specific needs of our community around education, economic stability, food security, and other supportive family services.
We are sowing the seeds of RESILIENCE in our community. Join us on the mission and help it grow across Wake County.
Juniper Level Missionary Baptist Church members founded JLBC Community Alliance to serve as a stronghold of support for its surrounding historic community. Our mission reflects our origin:
- To inspire unity and compassion with the consciousness of duty to our community in answering the needs of ALL people providing an environment of love and acceptance.
- We pledge to demonstrate this mission through our services and community collaboration.
